Fable & Spirit Weekdays Better with Exclusive Happy Hour Offerings

Fable & Spirit has introduced an exciting new Happy Hour at Via Lido Plaza in Newport Beach, running from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays (Monday through Friday). During this time, patrons can enjoy special prices on select cocktails and wines, along with the exclusive opportunity to savor six brand-new dishes crafted by Executive Chef David Shofner.
“For the first time since opening, we are offering a Happy Hour menu that will, no doubt, become a guest favorite,” explained Darren Coyle, who owns Fable & Spirit with his wife, Jean. “With six never-before-seen dishes that are available exclusively on weekdays during Happy Hour, Chef David Shofner’s new menu reflects his signature culinary style and the overall integrity that the restaurant has become known for over the years.
The new weekday Happy Hour menu at Fable & Spirit includes the following delectable dishes:
- Chicken Wings – Served with celeriac carrot slaw, smoked BBQ hot sauce, and blue cheese.
- Rockfish Poisson Cru – Prepared with lemon cucumber, heirloom cherry tomato, charred red onion, pickled jalapeño, key lime, coconut, coriander, and wonton chips.
- Crispy Calamari – Accompanied by poblano peppers, sweet onion, avocado crema, and gochujang aioli.
- Serrano Ham Baguette – Complemented by soppressata, green olive roasted pepper tapenade, manchego, and garlic aioli.
- Heirloom Tomato Pizzetta – Topped with buffalo mozzarella, san marzano, basil, and chili oil.
- Fromage Frites – Served with truffle mornay and sauce au poivre.
Of course, no Happy Hour is complete without delightful libations. Director of Spirits Drew Coyle has crafted a selection of specially priced cocktails, including:
- Beautiful Day – Featuring Cutwater gin, lemon, elderflower, grapefruit, and sparkling.
- Little Rita – Comprising Astral tequila, lime, agave, and black salt.
- The Ritual – A blend of Buffalo Trace bourbon, maple, chai, allspice, and sage.
- Bells and Whistles – Highlighting Astral tequila, bell pepper, lemongrass, and spice.
Additionally, Happy Hour offers a thoughtfully curated selection of wines by Fable & Spirit's noted Sommelier Ali Coyle, spanning sparkling, rosé, white, and red varieties.
The beer enthusiasts among guests can also enjoy a variety of beers at Happy Hour prices, including Chapman pils and Offshoot "relax" hazy IPA.
Fable & Spirit's Happy Hour is available from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, while dinner service is offered from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Sunday. For those seeking a weekend treat, brunch service is available from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday. Menus and reservation information can be found online at fableandspirit.com.

Kids in Costume Eat Free at Marila’s Mexican all Halloween Weekend

Marila's Mexican has a fantastic Halloween treat for kids in costumes at their Huntington Beach location. From Saturday, October 28 through Halloween on Tuesday, October 31, children aged 12 and under dressed up for dining in can enjoy a complimentary Kids' 2 Taco or Quesadilla Plate, complete with their choice of cheese, chicken, or shrimp, served with rice and beans.
This promotion is available all day from October 28 to October 31. There's a limit of one free Kids Plate per child when accompanied by an adult (one child per adult). You can find Marila's Mexican at 7821 Edinger Avenue in the Bella Terra Center in Huntington Beach. Their hours are Monday through Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. For more information, visit marilasmexican.com.
